Steamed and Seared Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
- 1 lb brussels sprouts, halved
- 5 T olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 T maple syrup
- 1 T sherry vinegar
Instructions
- Place the sprouts, cut-side down, in a skillet and drizzle with oil. Cover and cook at medium-high heat until cut sides are starting to brown, about 5 minutes. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the bottoms are well browned, about 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk together the syrup, vinegar, and 1/4 t salt, then toss the sprouts with the mixture.
- Plate and serve hot.
